12 Reasons excuses not to have your photo taken right now

1. “I’m fat and ugly” (too short/tall/thin/big bum)
Ok, should we start? Should we start with ...”If I had a penny for every time someone said that to me.?” Everyone seems to think they’re too fat. Not so - and even if you have few additional pounds - we’ll reveal the gorgeous you. And if you insist in looking slimmer then between Lucy and Samantha our talented make-up artists and stylists and Gill, our digital artist, you will look fabulous.

And as for being ugly - there are no ugly people just ugly thoughts. Good heaven’s.. didn’t anyone learn anything from “Shrek”!! Seriously though its our job to make you look brilliant and that’s a promise.

2. I take terrible photographs
NO, no, no, no, no - you don’t take terrible photographs........ the photographer does. And a bad photographer or bad equipment would make any diva look bad. May I suggest you get a better photographer. Like us perhaps?

3. “I’m too old”
Too old for what? Your only too old when you’re nailed into the box - meantime let’s live life to the full. Stage One is accepting you may no longer be 21. OK? Pain over. Next. Stage Two is making you look great - you will be amazed what a new look will do, we’ll shave years off you and show you how to keep it that way. So don’t delay book a date now - before you get too old!!! (only kidding)

4. “I don’t have the money right now”
Fair enough, we all have to stretch the money from time to time. So we’ve come up with a cunning plan which has a range of products to suit most pockets and one that even spreads the payments over 12 months. We also take Visa and Mastercard - please ask.

5. “I am not a number. I am a free woman!”
You are certainly not a number and neither are we. We are an eclectic crew of artists who value individuality and who enjoy working with people like you to create a unique look that would come out of your spirit, your sense of self, part of you - a you that you suspect is there but needs to be teased out.

It may be a place you want to go if only you could trust the right people. It may even be just a feeling from a touch of fabric, or from being at a movie, or hearing a song or enjoying a meal.

We will re-create it - even if it involves a new set, location or make-up. Telephone for a chat or lets meet for a cup of tea or coffee and we can explore ways of creating something special for you. 

6. “I hate being posed”
I promise we will never ask to to say “cheese” or sit in those stereotypical ways. We will however show you how changes in your posture will take years and kilos off you, and if that’s called posing then so be it. Besides we all like to pose a bit - even if it’s in front of the mirror!

7. "Too busy....”
Yes it will take valuable time. The Fabulous Quickie is two hours and a Fabulous Signature Commission can take all day. But the pictures will last for a life time. And when you look back in twenty years time you won’t care about the time it took, you’ll just care about the memories. Besides you need to find time to spoil yourself...

8. ”I have nothing to wear”
That’s OK, its amazing what we can do with classic black or white tops and we can supply these, also we have some sensuous robes and wraps - Lucy or Samantha will also help making the best of what you have.

9. “I’ve got a spot on my nose”
We don't just click and shoot, shove the photos in a shopping bag and send you on your way. There's more to it than that.

Our superb artists will see that the portraits are beautiful and complimentary. It is their careful, loving touch which helps make our portraits unique. When your portrait is completed, you will be "thrilled" at the results!

We know how sensitive your image is and we will look after it for you.

10. "I'm looking for something different."
Many people who call us say. .. "I'm looking for something different." The reason is most studios need to get as many bodies through the door as possible. So typically they will use the same backgrounds that everyone else will have in their photographs. This is the "get em' in - get em' out" mentality. We want to help you be different.

We can customise the studio, go to your home, the park, or the mountains (hey, we will even fly with you to a warm beach! or get that Harley for a day) and create for you not only a portrait that you will cherish but also one that will be handed down from generation to generation. We love being different and so will you!

In our studio we have settings, not just painted backdrops, but stuff you can lean against and sit on, to pose in. Each is altered to suit your personality and concept.

11. I don’t want to be rushed
Our time is your time. We limit our sessions because we want to take the time and do it right... the first time. Our guarantee, clothing, location, sets are all geared to making you look great and this time is invested in creating your portrait, that will have your partner, friends and family just marvelling at what we have accomplished. We don't want to rush.
